We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 3 years. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester. This position is tied to working towards a Habilitation.

Your tasks:

participation in the research and teaching activities of the Institute for Geoinformatics and
the “situated computing lab” working group

supervising bachelor and master’s students

participation in administrative tasks at the institute and the faculty level -

upporting the organisation of activities of the working group

participation in the coordination of research projects (e.g. monitoring, organising events,
preparing deliverables) - preparing research proposals



Our expectations:

A PhD in geoinformatics, computer science or a related discipline is required.

Expertise in at least one of the research areas of the working group (e.g. human-computer
interaction, geovisualisation, ubiquitous computing, location-based services) is highly
desirable.

Solid programming skills in at least one programming language are advantageous.

Good command of written and spoken English is essential.

German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.

Further desirable skills include the ability to work in an international team, good
communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently
