(FFF 2017): 8th FOKUS FUSECO Forum (ganztägig)
VeranstaltungsortFraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS
Call for Participation – Only 6 weeks to go!
Fraunhofer FOKUS invites you to the 8th FOKUS FUSECO Forum (FFF 2017) themed:
Getting Digital Infrastructures Ready for 5G
- First Experiences and the Way Forward
November 09 & 10, 2017 at Fraunhofer FOKUS, Berlin, Germany.
Join the Tutorials, Workshops and Conference, hands-on live Demonstrations and in-depth technical Discussions with leading operators, manufacturers, integrators as well as various solution providers around the most recent 5G hot topics.
This year we will look at the benefits and risks of this emerging disruptively agile network and service environment driven by the integration of existing and new access network technologies, new software paradigms like edge computing, network virtualization, network slicing, and programmable 5G Core networks. Together with leading operators, manufacturers, integrators as well as various solution providers we want to assess ongoing technologies and business proofs of concept and related 5G testbeds around the globe.
This year's event will again feature three dedicated tracks consisting of tutorials and interactive workshops on the first day, namely
1. Multi-access Network Technologies in 5G-Ready Networks
2. 5G Edge and Core Software Networks and Emerging 5G Applications
3. Network Virtualization and Network Slicing for 5G-Ready Networks
The second day features a full-day conference uniting these topics under one umbrella “The 5G Reality Check: 5G-Ready Applications and Technological Enablers for 5G Implementation“.
As usual we will show the newest prototypes developed within the 5G Berlin Testbed and also show first applications in the Berlin 5G Testfield Initiative driven by the Senate of Berlin.
Join this two-day event and meet representatives from the leading operators and solution vendors from all over the world to understand the challenges and opportunities of these new enabling technologies for implementing innovative applications in various emerging domains.
This year the FUSECO Forum will be accompanied by 3 additional international events on 5G and Industrial IoT, all of them held during the same week in Berlin – the #Berlin5GWeek:
IEEE NFV-SDN Conference, Edge Computing Forum and the Industrial IoT Forum
During the two FOKUS FUSECO Forum days you will gain new insights, have interesting expert talks and make new friends from all over the world. We call this the global “FOKUS family“.
The agenda looks as follows:
Thursday, Nov 9, 2017 – Tutorials & Workshop
Tutorial 1: Machine Learning in 5G Radio Access Networks
Tutorial 2: Software 5G Networks – Understanding the 5G System
Tutorial 3: Understanding the Network Function Virtualization transformation based on practical experiences
Workshop 1: Multi-Access Network Technologies in 5G Ready Networks
Workshop 2: Building the 5G Environment
Workshop 3: Network Virtualization and Network Slicing for 5G Ready Networks
Evening: "We are FOKUS Family Get together“ - Time to make new friends
Friday, Nov 10, 2017 – Conference “The 5G Reality Check: 5G-READY APPLICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGICAL ENABLERS FOR 5G IMPLEMENTATION“
