Management
The Management supports the Executive Board, the Presidium and the General Assembly in matters concerning the organisation. It implements the resolutions of the other bodies of the GI, manages the assets of the GI on behalf of the Executive Board and conducts the business of the Executive Board on its behalf and in accordance with its decisions. Resolutions of the Executive Board on matters relating to the assets and budget of the GI require the approval of the Management Board.
Cornelia Winter
Management & Head of Bonn office
Cornelia Winter is responsible for association management and the office in Bonn. She maintains the internal networks of the largest computer science organisation in the German-speaking world, manages the office in Bonn and has been with the GI since 2000. As a shareholder, she represents the GI on the supervisory board of Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz Centre for Informatics. Prior to this, she worked as a journalist for the Japanese business newspaper "Sankei Shinbun" and the Japanese news agency "Kyodo News", among others. She studied Japanese Studies, Religious Studies and Ethnology at the Universities of Bonn, Cologne and as a Rotary Scholar at the Imperial University in Nagoya/Japan.
Daniel Krupka
Management & Head of Berlin office
Daniel Krupka represents the Gesellschaft für Informatik as Managing Director in public, politics, business and society. He maintains the external networks of the largest computer science organisation in the German-speaking world and manages the office in Berlin. He is responsible for GI projects on topics such as artificial intelligence, green coding/digital green tech, digital education and digital sovereignty, data literacy and data science. He represents the German Informatics Society, for example on the "Digital Strategy Germany" advisory board of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport, on the advisory board of the Alliance for Cyber Security and on the advisory boards of the nationwide computer science competitions, the AI Campus, the Data Literacy Toolbox, the Council of European Professional Informatics Societies and the International Federation for Information Processing and is involved in the Information and Communication Technology Network of the Academy of Engineering Sciences (acatech).Daniel Krupka studied Public Policy and Management at the University of Konstanz, Jiao Tong University in Shanghai (PR China) and York University in Toronto (Canada).
