IJCAI 2026: Daily Reporting from the Conference

The international AI community is currently gathering in Bremen for the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI), which is being held in conjunction with the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI). GI, together with FBKI, is a Silver Sponsor of the conference and a member of the Local Press Office. The International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) was first held in Washington, D.C., in 1969 and initially took place every two years. Since 2016, it has been held annually, rotating among various host cities around the world. In 2026, it will be held jointly with the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI) as IJCAI-ECAI 2026.

After being held in locations including Macau, Jeju (South Korea), Vienna, and Montréal, the conference will take place in Bremen for the first time. IJCAI-ECAI 2026 brings together researchers from academia and industry who are addressing current issues in artificial intelligence.

The scientific program includes technical presentations, workshops, tutorials, demonstrations, and competitions. The topics range from machine learning, robotics, and multi-agent systems to knowledge representation and natural language processing, as well as trustworthy AI and AI applications in various domains.

As a member of the Local Press Office, GI will be present on site to support coverage of the conference and provide information on program highlights and scientific awards.
