GI-Edition Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI)

GI has its own publication series, the "GI Edition: Lecture Notes in Informatics" (LNI), which is published in the GI Digital Library.

The series is divided into the following sections:

  • Proceedings (conference and workshop proceedings)
  • Dissertations (abstracts of theses nominated for the GI Dissertation Award)
  • Seminars (submissions for the GI Computer Science Days and SKILL)
  • Thematics (monographs on specific topics of general interest to computer science)

All volumes published of the LNI are supported by GI chapters and are under their responsibility. As a general rule, only proceedings from events in which a GI chapter is involved are published in the LNI. These events must be reported to the GI office in advance.

Open Access

Articles published in the LNI may be reused and republished by the authors. The final published version may also be used for this purpose. The source of the article must be cited, and a link—to the article’s DOI, if available, or to the article itself if not—must be provided in the GI Digital Library. In general, articles published in the LNI since 2017 are licensed under Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 and may be used and redistributed under the terms of this license.

Editors of LNI volumes are responsible to meet the layout rules of the LNI Series. All authors are requested to use the templates provided here.

Recommendation to editors: Try to avoid mixing up papers written in LaTeX and Word within one volume due to inconsistent layout.

Below you will find guidelines and layout rules for authors, recommendations for structuring your manuscript and templates for cover pages (editors only). All rules are mandatory to keep the „Corporate Identity" of Gesellschaft für Informatik.
