SUMMARY:Sequence Models & the Scientific Field - ai\research\explorations
DESCRIPTION:Feel invited to join us on April 24, 2023, starting at 2pm (CET
), for our online workshop on "Sequence Models & the Scientific Field", hel
d by our research group "How is Artificial Intelligence Changing Science? R
esearch in the Era of Learning Algorithms".\n\nThis workshop is going to be
the second installment of our digital workshop series ai\research\explorat
ions on the intersections of artificial intelligence and scientific practic
e:\n\nHow and to what extent are sequence models and their current advances
, e.g. in the fields of natural language processing and computer vision, of
interest for science and research with artificial intelligence? Which pers
pectives on sequence models and their impact on scientific practices and ep
istemologies are not sufficiently illuminated in current professional disco
urses?\n\nScholars from various disciplines (including computer science, ph
ilosophy, history of science, computer linguistics, and media studies) will
discuss these and other topics with all attendees and the members of the r
esearch group.\n\nThe online workshop will be held via ZOOM, let us know vi
