DESCRIPTION:In the ITeG lecture series "Digital Society - a Design Challeng
 e", Prof. Mark Coeckelbergh will provide insights on “AI Ethics: Responsibi
 lity in Digital Times” on November 24, 2021. He is Professor of Philosophy 
 of Media and Technology at the Department of Philosophy, University of Vien
 na since 2015. Coeckelbergh is member of the High Level Expert Group on Art
 ificial Intelligence for the European Commission, the Advisory Council on A
 utomated Mobility, as well as member of the Technical Expert Committee for 
 the Foundation for Responsible Robotics. Currently, he is involved in Europ
 ean research projects in the area of robotics (DREAM, INBOTS, The SIENNA Pr
 oject).\n\n\n\nSummary of his presentation:\n\nArtificial intelligence rais
 es many ethical issues. One of them is responsibility: how to deal with the
  question of responsibility when (previously) human activities are automate
 d? This talk gives an overview of ethical issues raised by AI and discusses
  the question of responsibility in the light of automation. It is argued th
