SUMMARY: International Conference on Recent Advances in Robust Argumentatio
 n Machines
DESCRIPTION: Argument analysis methods have indeed reached a level of matur
 ity and robustness that make them applicable to the analysis of real online
  debates, to find the main arguments exchanged, to summarize and group argu
 ments, or even to automatically generate arguments to present different vie
 wpoints and perspectives.\n\n\n\nWe call for submissions of original resear
 ch work on the following topics:\n\n\n\n  - automatic semantic analysis of 
 arguments, including tasks such as stance detection, keypoint identificatio
 n, attack/support classification, etc.  \n\n  - analysis of arguments in di
 scourse and dialogue\n\n  - automatic synthesis and generation of arguments
 \n\n  - summarization of arguments\n\n  - argument retrieval\n\n  - methods
  for predicting argument quality\n\n  - ranking of arguments according to, 
 e.g., quality\n\n  - methods for rephrasing and repurposing arguments\n\n  
 - inferring the frame, viewpoint or perspective of an argument\n\n  - commo
 n sense knowledge in the automated analysis of arguments\n\n  - scalable re
 asoning methods for arguments\n\n  - applications of argument analysis in d
 omains such as political discourse, law, science, education, finance, socia
 l sciences, etc. \n\n\n\n\n\nTwo types of papers will be accepted:\n\n\n\n 
  - Long Papers (up to 15 pages including references): Description of substa
 ntive and original research.\n\n  - Short Papers (up to 8 pages including r
 eferences): Description of work in progress or original research contributi
