DESCRIPTION:Von Mai bis Dezember wird online das 60. Jubiläum der  Internat
 ional Federation of Information Processing  (IFIP) gefeiert . Die 1960 gegr
 ündete internationale Organisation ist ein Dachverband für über 40 Informat
 ik-Gesellschaften aus aller Welt, darunter auch die GI. Die Organisation ha
 t über 3500 Einzelmitglieder und ermöglicht diesen Expert*innen einen fachl
 ichen Austausch in über 100 Arbeitsgruppen.\n\nUm das 60. Bestehen der Orga
 nisation virtuell zu feiern,  finden von August bis Dezember zehn virtuelle
  Panels zum Thema Future of Information Processing statt. Die Eventreihe wi
 rd von Mitgliedern der IFIP organisiert und gibt Expert*innen eine Bühne, ü
 ber diverse Themen wie autonomes Fahren, Ethik in der Informatik und Cybers
 icherheit zu sprechen. Die Veranstaltungen sind frei zugänglich und Aufzeic
 hnungen werden im Nachgang im Netz zur Verfügung gestellt.\n\nDas achte Eve
 nt der Reihe - Future Trends in Databases: From Data Science through Artifi
 cial Intelligence to Quantum Computing - findet am 22. November um 17 Uhr s
 tatt (Veranstaltungsspache ist Englisch). \n\nThis panel will focus on emer
 ging topics in database research, such as data engineering technologies sup
 porting data science, issues of data quality in modern application domains,
  performance optimization with the support of artificial intelligence, and 
 quantum computing for databases, with particular emphasis on future trends 
 envisaged in this field.\n\nParticipation is open to anyone and free of cha
 rge. You can register for the event here.\n\nAbout the Future of Informatio
 n Processing Event Series\n\nThe Event Series consists of ten events in tot
 al, featuring IFIP experts and high-level guests discussing questions arisi
 ng at the intersection of technology and the information society. The event
 s be online panels of 75 minutes each consisting of short speeches, a moder
 ated discussion and a Q&A with the audience. Recordings of the events will 
 be made available on YouTube. Information and registration links for the fo
 llowing events will be available shortly on the IFIP 60th Jubilee Web Site.
