SUMMARY:Explainable Software for Cyber-Physical Systems
DESCRIPTION:The increasing complexity and autonomy of cyber-physical system
 s requires from such a system to explain its behavior to users and other st
 akeholders. We use the term explainability to describe the capability of bo
 th the system and its engineering tools to explain certain aspects of inter
 est about the system, both in a human-comprehensible and machine-processabl
 e format. In order to increase the explainability of current and future CPS
  and their engineering tools, fundamental, interdisciplinary research is re
 quired. The goal of this GI-Dagstuhl Seminar is to serve as a starting poin
 t for an interdisciplinary coordination of research activities targeting Ex
 plainable Software for Cyber-Physical Systems (ES4CPS). Due to limited capa
 city, the workshop is by-invitation-only.
