DESCRIPTION:About ID:SMART\n\n\n\nID:SMART is an annual in-person event tha
 t fosters networking and technical updates within the European community of
  electronic identities, wallets, smart cards and hardware security modules 
 (HSMs). Previously known as Smartcard-Workshop, it has been the reference e
 vent for hands-on researchers, standardization group members, decision-make
 rs and experts from companies and government administration since 1991.\n\n
 \n\nThe event provides a focused setting for in-depth technical exchange an
 d discussion — bringing together perspectives from research, standardizatio
 n and real-world deployment.\n\n\n\nID:SMART is a focused, on-site event de
 signed for high-quality exchange and technical dialogue — enabling meaningf
 ul interaction and networking that is sometimes difficult to achieve in lar
 ge-scale conference settings.\n\nThe event language is English.\n\n\n\n\n\n
 -- Program Concept --\n\n\n\nID:SMART features both expert talks and presen
 tations based on accepted submissions/papers. This combination allows for a
 n ambitious and well-rounded program, fostering exchange between technical 
 depth, practical implementation and current developments.\n\n\n\n\n\n-- Top
 ics of Interest --\n\n\n\nContributions address innovations, regulations, s
 tandards, certifications or implementations regarding electronic identities
  for connected devices and individuals, focusing on application-related or 
 foundational topics and research, such as:\n\n\n\n- All aspects of digital 
 identity lifecycles\n\n- Technologies and industry best practices covering 
 cryptography (e.g. PQC), hybridization, AI, compliance and interoperability
  testing, evaluation and certification\n\n- Identity technologies such as t
 ravel and ID documents, wallets, qualified electronic attestation of attrib
 utes, identity proof, biometrics, etc.\n\n- Use cases covering consumers an
 d industries such as automation, secure IoT, healthcare, mobility/automotiv
 e, government services, and others\n\n\n\n\n\n-- CPE/Recertification --\n\n
 \n\nParticipation in ID:SMART 2026 is recognized as part of T.I.S.P. recert
 ification.\n\nIn addition, CAST events can be recognized by (ISC)² and ISAC
 A as professional development activities.\n\nUpon request, a CPE confirmati
 on stating the number of CPE credits can be issued after the event.\n\n\n\n
