DESCRIPTION:The automotive sector is experiencing a fundamental change due 
 to the rapidly advancing digitalization, alternative drive concepts, networ
 king of vehicles and infrastructures as well as autonomous driving function
 s. The ongoing development of classic methods and procedures to ensure the 
 required software quality of safety-critical components no longer meets cur
 rent automotive requirements. The opening up of global network systems crea
 tes new requirements for safeguards against illegal access and for protecti
 on of personal data.\n\nAs an established symposium, the conference Automot
 ive Safety & Security 2019 addresses risk-related software topics from vari
 ous perspectives. For two days, researchers and practitioners will discuss 
 the latest ideas and concrete solutions for mastering the requirements for 
 reliability and security of software-based functions in automotive systems.
  The conference will take place jointly with the SafeWare Engineering confe
 rence in Karlsruhe, Germany.
