 ues from the social sciences and computer science. In addition, the communi
 ty is interested in work exploring Web-based data collection and research e
 thics. They also encourage studies that combine analyses of Web data and ot
 her types of data (e.g., from surveys or interviews) and help better unders

 h dem Verständnis der komplexen und vielfältigen Auswirkungen des Webs auf 
 die Gesellschaft und umgekehrt widmet. Die Disziplin ist gut aufgestellt, u
 m drängende Probleme unserer Zeit durch die Einbeziehung verschiedener wiss
 enschaftlicher Ansätze anzugehen. Es begrüßt quantitative, qualitative und 
 gemischte Forschungsmethoden, einschließlich Techniken aus den Sozialwissen
 schaften und der Informatik. Darüber hinaus ist die Gemeinschaft an Arbeite
 n interessiert, die sich mit webbasierter Datenerfassung und Forschungsethi
 k befassen. Außerdem werden Studien gefördert, die Analysen von Webdaten un
 d anderen Datentypen (z. B. aus Umfragen oder Interviews) kombinieren und z
 u einem besseren Verständnis des Nutzerverhaltens online und offline beitra
